Tuesday October 18th at 8:00 pm Bach with Adolf Busch
Evening with historical recording, presented and played, from two remarkable concerts held in the Tripoli theater September 1st and 2nd 1945. The world-renowned German violinist Adolf Busch played with the Reykjavík Music Society’s String Ensemble. Works by J.S. Bach: Violin concertos in a minor and E major and Sonata for solo violin in C major and movements from the d minor Partita. This was Adolf Busch's first visit to Iceland, but he made a very strong attachment with the country and came several times. He brought with him other great musicians such as Rudolf Serkin and the members of the Busch String Quartet. Sound technician Hreinn Valdimarsson has done the magic work of transferring the music from the old Lacquer plates to the modern digital form.

The sec­ond even­ing about sopr­ano María Markan, her life and car­rier abroad which in­clud­ed pos­it­ion at the Metro­pol­it­an Opera in New York. Present­at­ion in words, pict­ures and mus­ic by Trausti Jóns­son and sound engine­er Hreinn Valdi­mars­son.
Tuesday November 8th at 8:00 pm Evening organ­ized by the Odd Fellows Order in Reykjavík
The story of the leprosy hosp­ital in Laugar­nes Reykja­vík, which the Dan­ish Odd Fel­lows built in 1898, and gave to the Ice­land­ic nat­ion, to fight this horr­ible dis­ease.
Tuesday November 15th at 8:00 pm Concert
Nína Margrét Grímsdóttir piano
Solo piano works, in­clud­ing piec­es by some of the first gener­ation of Ice­land­ic com­pos­ers, such as Páll Ísólfs­son, Svein­björn Svein­björns­son and Jón Leifs.
Saturday November 19th at 14−17 pm Symposium on Art in public space in Den­mark and Ice­land in 1925−1940, their re­sponsi­bil­ity and main­ten­ance. Pres­entations by Tom Herman­sen, Jens Peter Munk, Hlynur Helga­son, Birgitta Spur, Ind­riði Níels­son and others.
