Margrét Árnadóttir sellóleikari hóf nám í Nýja Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík, en lauk einleikaraprófi frá Tónlistarskólanum í Reykjavík áriđ 2000 undir handleiđslu Gunnars Kvaran. Hún stundađi framhaldsnám viđ The Juilliard School of Music í New York ţar sem ađalkennarar hennar voru David Soyer og Harvey Shapiro. Ţađan lauk hún BM gráđu áriđ 2004 og útskrifađist međ meistaragráđu síđastliđiđ vor. Margrét hefur komiđ fram á einleiks- og kammertónleikum hér heima og erlendis. Í New York hefur hún m.a. komiđ fram í Alice Tully Hall - Lincoln Center, Paul Hall - Juilliard og St. Paul's Chapel. Henni var bođiđ í tónleikaferđir til Kína ţar sem hún lék í Peking, Xiamen, Quanzhou og Fuzhou. Undanfarin ár hefur Margrét tekiđ ţátt í fjölmörgum sumarnámskeiđum í Bandaríkjunum, ţar á međal Ravinia Festival, Piatigorsky Seminar for Cellists og Music Academy of the West. Hún hefur einnig leikiđ á námskeiđum fyrir Janos Starker, Franz Helmerson, Erling Blöndal Bengtsson, Steven Isserlis og Luis Claret. Áriđ 2001 lék Margrét kammertónlist eftir Sergei Rachmaninoff inn á geisladisk fyrir Tavros Records.

Cellist Margrét Árnadóttir performs two of J.S. Bach's Suites for solo cello; Suite No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1008 and uite No. 6 in D major, BWV 1012.
The concert begins at 20:30.

Cellist Margrét Árnadóttir studied at Reykjavík College of Music with Gunnar Kvaran and graduated in 2000. She furthered her studies at the Juilliard School of Music in New York and received her BM degree in 2004 and her Master’s degree this spring. Her major teachers were David Soyer and Harvey Shapiro. Árnadóttir has performed in solo recitals and chamber music concerts in USA and Iceland. In New York, she has performed in Alice Tully Hall - Lincoln Center, Paul Hall - Juilliard and St. Paul’s Chapel. She has been invited to perform in China; in Beijing, Xiamen, Quanzhou and Fuzhou. She has participated in numerous summer festivals in the USA such as Ravinia Festival, Piatigorsky Seminar for Cellists and The Music Academy of the West. She has also played in masterclasses for Janos Starker, Franz Helmerson, Erling Blöndal Bengtsson, Steven Isserlis and Luis Claret. Árnadóttir is featured on a CD recording of Rachmaninoff Piano Trios released in 2001 by Tavros Records
